HIV Discrimination Complaint Filed Against Affordable Dentures, Dr. Saad Soofi

A formal complaint has been filed with the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA) against Affordable Dentures and Dr. Soofi, violations of HIPAA and the ADA, as well as dental malpractice: The complaint, sent to the Indiana State Attorney General Consumer Complaint Division earlier today, details a series of incidents that occurred at Affordable Dentures. Most of the acts complained of were committed by Dr. Saad Soofi, although not all. I am alleging multiple instances of discriminatory treatment and professional misconduct. Key points from the complaint include: Aggressive and unprofessional behavior by a dental aide during a routine impression procedure. Breach of patient confidentiality in violation of HIPAA. Refusal of agreed-upon dental services by Dr. Soofi in violation of the ADA. Significant health consequences, including jawbone deterioration and extensive tooth loss, attributed to delays in treatment. Urgent IPLA Complaint again... by James Alan Bush The complaint call...

Court hearing postponed, police report missing

The court has postponed today’s hearing on my motion for a restraining order against my former landlord, Dick Smith, pushing it back by three weeks. This delay comes after the hearing was already set outside the ideal timeframe for its intended impact—by the time the hearing was originally scheduled, I had already moved out, nullifying the potential benefit of further protection or stay. Below is the rescheduling order issued by the court: Notice of Hearing for Protection Order - James Alan Bush vs. Richard Smith by James Alan Bush on Scribd While the delay initially felt like another instance of justice being denied, there may be a silver lining. A crucial police report, which would have supported my argument in court, was never filed. This oversight leaves a significant gap in my evidence, rendering one of my key contentions unprovable. However, this postponement gives me the opportunity to order the police officer’s body cam footage, which will take some time to acquire. I...

Court presentation ready for restraining order against landlord

In preparation for the hearing on my motion for a temporary restraining order against my landlord, Dick Smith, who I am suing in an upcoming civil case , I assembled a court preparation document that outlines the general procedure, summarizes my reasons for seeking protection, details specific incidents of sexual harassment and physical assault, provides rebuttals to potential counterarguments, explains the ongoing threat and its impact on my health, and specifies the relief I'm seeking from the court. This resource offers guidance for others preparing for similar hearings, demonstrating how to organize evidence, address counterarguments, and articulate the need for legal protection in cases involving domestic violence, harassment, and threats to personal safety. Court Presentation (PRO Motion) - Bush v Smith by James Alan Bush on Scribd This document is similar to the more full-scope court presentation document to be used in the actual civil suit [ see Co...

Court presentation ready for suit against landlord

It’s one thing to file papers about a thing, it’s another thing to talk about them — particularly, in an adversarial context. This post presents a document I created that outlines my case against my former landlord, Richard Smith [ see Civil complaint filed against landlord for sexual harassment, battery ]. It provides a detailed roadmap for my presentation in court, including the general procedure, case summary, opening statement, testimony, legal standards, damages calculation, closing statement, and potential rebuttals. In other words, it’s the script, and it contains the lines I’m supposed to say as the actor playing the part of ‘plaintiff.’ It provides even more details regarding my claims than the complaint itself, both of which allege uninhabitable living conditions, sexual harassment, physical assault, and financial damages. It cites the specific Indiana laws violated, such as Indiana Code § 32-31-8-5 (landlord obligations) and the Indiana Fair Housing Act. It provides verbiage...
