#445 - Demon, demon on the wall

I have another video clip of a demon's head on the wall, talking, similar to the first one seen in SCIENCE | The ethereal glow and semi-transparency of cloaked demons explained, and which has a complete set of facial features (the lower jaw is missing in most of the frames of the first such video):

In the video, you cannot see any of this without enhancing each frame; but, you can make out the shape of the demon's mouth moving like a mouth, which is how I discovered it.

#443 - Is telepathy akin to hypnotic suggestion?

Human telepathy is possible...and easy; but, it tricks the human brain like a dream, dangerously suggesting on a subliminal level that a given topic of conversation (or the mood it conveys) is real, even when it isn't.
If you (or someone you know) "communicate(s) with the spirits," then you (or someone you know) are being hurt, physically and mentally—even if that is not the intent.

Generally, "spirits" are not medical doctors, and may not know that what they are doing is harmful to you. Others know quite well, such as Voices Demons, and talk incessantly to their victims to cause injury to the psyche.

 Although any information from Voices Demons should be considered unreliable when provided to a human, when they acknowledged this fact upon my own discovery of it, I believed them, in part, because they were able to demonstrate their apparent ability to use telepathy to make my head spin and ache, as well as to make a popping noise somewhere inside my head (by increasing pressure in the eustachian tubes, perhaps?).

 Also, on a walk home late one night last fall, I recorded a demon saying, "Let [him] feel my talk" [download Enraged Whisperer.wav (203.32 KB)]. At the time, I wouldn't have suspected that what the demon was implying was that telepathy harms (or can be used to harm) peoples' minds; rather, I would have assumed that it meant it wanted to take verbal gibes at me รก la the Voices Demons. Seeing as the demon did not do that, and based on what I know now, it was probably signaling its intent to harm me via telepathy.
The Voices Demons' telepathy is either akin to hypnotic suggestion or they are able to hypnotically suggest while projecting telepathically, which is the likely explanation for their close partnership and reliance upon dreamweaver demons.

Those are the possibilities, but, either way, it explains how they can create fearful expectations of non-pending events without reliable or complete or logical outward signs of them, as they did, for example, in Voices Demons plot for supposed future custody stay.

Like a dreamweaver demon, which creates a scenario in a sleeper's unconscious mind for them to navigate within (a tool used to explore the psyche of a victim), a voices demon creates scenarios for the conscious (or awakened) mind; but, unlike a dreamweaver demon, the resistance to which is virtually null by merit of the unconscious state of the victim, a voices demon must have the victim's attention.

That's probably also why they insist that their victims "listen, listen, listen," even though they repeat themselves constantly or seem to talk non-sense all-day long or talk about things that may pertain to or be about me but would never carry the weight in their lives they act like it does. It's probably subliminal programming of some kind, even though I know nothing about any of these topics.

All of this is just a guess, but a really good, educated guess, though. I'll explain how I came across this once I have a better way to support it.

This is the role of drugs in certain overall plans and goals, just as drugs play a role in possession, as described in Drug-induced "auditory hallucinations" a prelude to demonic possession.

I will elaborate on all of this later, and I will also include what I think may be the reason why Voices Demons consistently choose a particular location out of a set of locations when talking to you. They don't sound like they are inside your mind, but somewhere around you, at various distances and positions; sometimes, they even move while talking to you, albeit nearly instantaneously, and always to one of their usual positions around your head. I remember that there was one other significant thing that I noticed when the skull-head chased a voices demon into a corner with his snake-like tongue: that the voice demon could be traced in a line as it moved to the corner (because it was talking non-stop), and it was in a position that was not usual for them to talk to me from. Since this was a one-time occurrence, I can reasonably conclude that position and distance is important to achieve a particular effect, since they can move to any position, but with victims, don't; and, when they don't, it probably means they are working your mind somehow for some reason).

By the way, if you are communicating with Voices Demons or any other entity telepathically and are human, it is important to realize that if you have not been taught to block them from communicating with you in this way, then you are—or will be—a victim, even if they do not intend for you to be. It is harmful for you to communicate in this way, even if you are capable of doing it. ("My" Voices Demons just said, "Bullshit! It's only harmful when it's done in certain ways." My reply: you mean like insulting and threatening someone around the clock for years in a row, while physically harming through other demons?')
NOTE | The fact that they don't intend for you to be a victim in the way that I and others are, but still talk to you telepathically—knowing how harmful it—gives you a good indication of the general demonic attitude towards the lesser evolved and capable species called human. The fact that they ask you to do bad things (if that's the case) should be the other. In fact, what they talk about should be all the indicator you need. That, humans can understand and apply to protective effect.
Other notes about Voices Demons
I already knew that Voices Demons communicate using existing sound waves; they need them in order to be heard, which might be because they cannot generate them on their own. It might be a form of masking; or, it could be that sound carries their communication further than they could on their own—I just don't know.

But, knowing that they get louder in a loud environment may pave the way for recording them when they don't want to be recorded, and when they don't want to shut up. The way I tried this recently was to play an obnoxious, loud siren on my computer while recording Voices Demons shouting. Then, in Audacity, I overlayed the siren with the recording, and then used the siren track to filter the siren sound from the recording of the Voices Demons in order to hear them only.

It worked, although the siren was not completely removed (that's because I don't know how to use Audacity and/or because Audacity sucks). Anyway, it's a safe bet to say that, if I stick with it—just like the images and videos that were once unviewable—I'll get something I can use.

Another observation of note: while loud, consistent noise does not block the sound of their voices, it blocks the effects of their telepathy.

#442 - PHOTO | The eyes of another demon possessing

Possession in a single person by multiple demons is more common than not, as the Bible teaches, which also states that demons are more likely to run in hordes than not; specifically, in Matthew 12:43-45 [ESV]:

When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, but finds none. Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when it comes, it finds the house empty, swept, and put in order. Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that person is worse than the first. So also will it be with this evil generation.
In the case of my demonic possession, I am no exception. Since posting images of at least two different demons superimposing their faces over mine in PHOTOS | The demon possessing me, revealed and TECHNOLOGY | Highlighting demons possessing a human as shown on video, I found in the stills taken from a portion of a video in which I look down very fast a pair of yellow-green eyes, one slitted, the other round. As stated many times, demons possessing a person can often be seen in still frames blurry from the motion of the camera or the subject. That is the case in this photo:

 This is not the first time I have incidentally acquired an image of my eyes assuming the appearance of a demons; but, it is the first time it's happened since reasonably demonstrating that I am possessed by at least one demon, which makes it feel more appropriate to post for some reason.

#441 - VIDEO | Sucker demons dance on fingertips, connect

In a video clip made earlier this month, you can see sucker demons dance on my fingertips as I scratch my head, as well as connect between them and my scalp on contact, kind of like static electricity; in it, my head and hand is covered with eye spider demons and sucker demons:

NOTE | Although sucker demons are not static electricity, they seem to go hand-in-hand with it in other ways besides just sometimes looking like it, as in the above video [see The two weaknesses of sucker demons: static electricity and clear plastic and Sucker Demons Interfere with Electronics on Contact, Spark when crushed; see also Electrical conductivity of electronic device affects cloaked demon's ability to maintain contact with human skin].
The quality of this video embedded in this post is not as good as the original for several reasons:
  • YouTube compression blurs videos, and sucker demons are thin;
  • These demons are small, and sucker demons move very fast;
  • The quality of the video camera is low, capturing only 15 frames per second at 640 px x 426 px.
  • Because they are cloaked, the eye spider demons and sucker demons look like jagged, black lines and squiggly white ones, respectively;

Jodi Polos, the reader featured in Is Wicca the answer to the demon problem? on The Life of a Demoniac, was also featured on the Night Fright Show with Brent Holland.

#439 - DRAFT | More of what a hobgoblin demon looks like (and other things about them, too)

This post is a draft; I'm working on it—right now—as you're looking at it. It's messy, I know, but the enhanced images were so much better than the originals, I wanted to share them now.
Since my last post on what hobgoblin demons look like, I have obtained several new photographs of them. This post includes those additional images, and, for the sake of convenience, also includes the ones previously shown in that post, namely, What a hobgoblin demon looks like.

This post also includes all videos in my collection that show hobgoblin demons, which, by the way, are extremely rare, quite pathetic (except for the first one, below), and which were missing from the first post.

In Hobgoblin Demon Springs from Floor, a hobgoblin enters my apartment through a hyperdimensional portal in the floor—which is always the way demons enter—and then exits through a wall—which is always the way a demon exits:

In Mother Hobgoblin Demon and Baby Hobgoblin Demon, a hobgoblin demon, which is blending with a bedspread and pillow case, and which has female facial characteristics, cradles a smaller hobgoblin demon, creating the appearance of a mother and child:

 Hobgoblin demons, described
Hobgoblin demons stand about 3 to 4 feet tall, wear black or brown cloaks and what appear to be white masks, but are actually material (or flesh) malleable enough to contort into different facial expressions.

The reasons why hobgoblin demon faces look like masks is most likely because they do not emote with their facial expressions often, and because their faces probably start as actual masks, as their bodies are known to start with dirty clothes [see VIDEOS | Naked, demon-possessed man writhing on floor helps animate, transport demons]; however, generally, the masks are frozen into a somewhat of a caricature of a human's face.
They appear to have an innate interest in human medicine and psychology [see PHOTOS | Hobgoblin demons attempt to induce insanity by blocking pleasurable experiences]. This translates into macabre and obscene experiments and modifications to the human anatomy and behavior, as is described in Demons modify peoples' looks from birth to affect social standing, later to punish or control.

Hobgoblin demons stay cloaked, and move outside of regular time, specifically, faster (too see what this looks like, watch Demonic Peep-Eye, which features a demon that moves faster than normal time, just like a hobgoblin demon). This means that you will rarely see one with the naked eye, and, if you do, it's only a glimpse.

Their cloaks can only be breached by photographing light reflecting from their bodies, which must be bent by motion in order to be seen (read more about Nature of demonic cloak revealed). Normally, this is accomplished by accident, and usually when a video camera is being panned and a hobgoblin demon just happens to be in the picture and moving, as well.

Hobgoblin demons are world-renowned, and a Google search for stories of black- or brown-cloaked entities invading sleepers' beds corroborates much of what is written in this blog.
usually only captured by a fast-moving video camera as the camera lens passes over their position—and only then, when the hobgoblin demon is blended (or possessed of) an object that may slightly resembles its body shape or striping (white on top, but black in back; black from the neck down). That's a lot of variables that have to be present in order to capture a segment of video that has a hobgoblin demon that can be seen in the still frames.

Last night, I was able to capture quite a few still frames of a new hobgoblin demon, which is by far the highest quality set I have so far. You can see a lot more detail; in fact, the mask even appears glossy in a few of them. And, unlike the other photographed hobgoblin demons, in which there are multiple photos of the same demon, this one changes expression and turns its head slightly several times:
In fact, that is how all of the photographs of hobgoblin demons were made (i.e., while the camera and the hobgoblin demon were in opposite motion).

Hobgoblin demons are almost always the instigators and overseers of all demonic attacks. A perfect example of this is the hobgoblin demon detected in one of the frames (shown above) from the Demonic Intruders Attack video. In that video, it can be heard instructing two other demons to, "Pick him up," referring to me, of course, and my unconscious body.

They also have the most powerful magic, which works sort of like "mojo." My belief and experience suggests that the black tar-like smoke that hits you when a hobgoblin demon works its magic on you decides what bad happens to you next, and that it's not necessarily up to the hobgoblin demon who cast it at you. I do know that it requires kinetic energy (motion) on the part of the target to work. So, you can temporarily ward off any ill effects from getting hit with hobgoblin demon magic by simply not moving; however, because the magic doesn't wear off quickly, you may have to move at some point, even while it could still do damage.

A good example of the results of their magic is shown in the photo below, in which my head was injured by a pipe that literally bent down—as if it were made of marshmallows—and struck me on the head (as if it were made of metal):

Not only do hobgoblin demons cloak, but they also blend with similar looking objects. They even move in motion with said object, just to stay out of sight. In the case below, a hobgoblin demon moves with my hand as it passes in front of the camera, in part, because the shape of the side of my hand was nearly identical to the profile of its head (read more on this particular type of demonic camouflage).

This photo was taken at a laundromat where a hobgoblin demon was seen animating a few pieces of dirty clothes; to show me how close it could get, it took my shoestring—without me seeing or knowing—and created this stylized eight:

My response is this:

Demons do what suits them, and for reasons I don't understand. I cannot ascertain why and who they pick to possess, basically, because they have done it to about half of the population of the Bay Area. In large part, I think it is medical (and other types) research- and economy-related. They are a world unto their own, and they have an economic system, and a population of demonic entities with medical and other needs that need their provision.

But, let me address your underlying concern, which I believe to be a moral/lifestyle one. To this question, my answer will probably be more accurate and reliable than any other answer you can find on the planet (or anywhere else):
  • There is no causal connection between a person's goodness or evil nature and demonic possession. This assumption is consistent with the Bible's account of demonic possession. Acts 16:16 describes a slave girl of about age 6 who was possessed. The apostle Paul exorcised a "spirit of divination" from her by commanding the spirit to leave "in the name of Jesus." From this you may assume that, while a demon can possess even a child—thus negating the good person/bad person condition—it takes a holy man to remove them. That would be false, too, according to the Bible. Matthew 7:22-23 describes a group of persons who plead their case to Jesus Christ on the Day of Judgment by asking, "'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then [Jesus Christ] will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'" So, demons possess innocent children, and evil people can drive them out.

  • There is no connection between magic and demons. The demons I fight now first attacked when I was a child of 5. I knew no magic then, and I know no magic now. I have never met anyone who collaborates with or is possessed by demons who practice magic of any kind, nor have they—and I have met many, many demons and demon-possessed persons. None of the hundreds of demons I have talked to or had relations with or fought ever invoked (or even spoke of) magic. I have seen a couple of demons in some kind of ceremony that some may construe as magic at first sight; but, in actuality, was simply a religious ritual.

Of all the demon-possessed people I have encountered, only the doll-makers seem prone to superstitious beliefs like that—but, they are wrong.
NOTE | Doll-makers are generally Filipino and Vietnamese immigrants who fashion dolls from dirty clothes, which hobgoblin and Jawa-lookalike demons subsequently animate with their spirits, and thus become physical in this world, as described (and shown) in Secret builders of blanket demon faces revealed. In that post, I answer accordingly:
According to one of the demons' human counterparts, shadow magic, in part, is what is being employed [by them] against me. I do not know if this is true or not.
Would Wicca be the counter to that? Even if so, I'm reluctant to go that route, as God forbids magical practices of any kind:
Let no one be found among you who ... practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells ... . Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord. [Deuteronomy 18:10-13]
With witchcraft, I would just look like a practitioner of magic—that's not good, in that, to get that, I didn't have to hear and obey the Word of God, I just had to be really adept at a craft that didn't come from Him, even if the act of fighting demon is meant to pay homage to Him. So, using magic to solve a problem, even if the problem is evil, does not make you one of His own:
Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. … Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then, I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!" [Matthew 7:20-23]
I want to do what God says to do—and how He says to do it—because the consequences for doing things any other way are too great:
The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: ... witchcraft ... and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. [Galatians 5:19-21]
By the way: Wicca is the very practical and logical application of science that solves the problems nobody wants to talk about, foremost. So, I definitely will not knock all of it. And, when it first began, it may have seemed like magic to people; but, I will bet that every potion or remedy stemming from Wicca can be explained and enhanced by science, which is a great thing [search for 'science' on this blog].
  • Possessed persons are too diversified of a population to pinpoint specific qualities inherent to a demon's selection of a human for possession. I am not the only one possessed; rather, there are thousands of people in my area similarly afflicted. Again, I couldn't pinpoint a reason for myself based on my similarities to others who are also possessed. That's because the possessed comprise a very, very diverse group. All ages, races, religious affiliations, gender, sexual orientations, etc. There is absolutely no one immune, based on what I have seen. And, the demons never justify possession on any of these criteria (although, if you are aware that you are possessed, they will give you a reason based on anything from you owe them to you're a fag to you treated your family bad to nobody loves you and so on. The funny thing is, none of these reasons are issues for them—and, if they were for you before, the demon problem you have will eclipse those reasons so that even you don't think much of them.
NOTE | An ironic twist on the fag reason: most male demons are polyamorous bisexuals. To them, the fag designation means something entirely different, in that it has no meaning at all, and does not otherwise carry the same derogatory weight as it does among humans; rather, it's just a slight used to provoke anger and/or guilt in their victims.
Although there does not seem to be a specific or unique reason for possession for me in particular, I can say that my experience is quite unique; and, the reason for that is, I fought back against some demons, and otherwise put a dent in their operation here in the Bay Area. Moreover, I still represent an even greater threat to that operation, which increases everyday.

I've said as much before in READER | Why are demons following you? Is it because you're a bad person?, in which Luis Tapia Oblitas, also a Facebook reader, asked a similar question:

My answer to him was this:
It's not just me; but, if you read your Bible, it says, "Satan will seek to wear out the saints of the Most High God." [Daniel 7:25]
It's a town-wide problem, really. I'm just the only one talking about it.
I also have sort of this one that sort of likes me; so, I think that's part of it.
But, I also have their balls in a vice grip right now with some things they're trying to do, which I'm trying to fuck up. Basically, I went to war with them. And, now, we're fighting each other.
Even if they left me alone, I would seek them to the ends of the earth. They did some of this crap to me when I was 5 years old, and until I was 8. They started back up again when I was 32, and until now.
So, we have a history. I even met one of my childhood "monsters" face-to-face a few months ago—I thought she was just a dream (or nightmare)! Turns out...nope! Real monster. [She h]as a device that makes you feel a certain kind of intense fear. She [even] turned it on [and] showed me how it worked. [omitted] She looked old. She had actually aged; and, [she also] seemed mellow, and almost apologetic.
I [haven't] told anyone about that yet. Her name is [Beatrix], or Aunt 'B' for short. Isn't that the weirdest thing you've ever heard?

So, anyway, to answer your question: the voices demons are simply psychotic "narcissist" stalkers. They can't help it. The other demons had a score to settle. The other 99% didn't even know me, and didn't even care, but my apartment was a [nexus of hyperdimensional portals]. So, [as] they passed through to get from one point in the universe to another, [other demons filled them in on the situation. Now, I have enemies that span multiple dimensions, and multiple demonic species].
Sometimes, [during] a layover, I got to know [a few demons on the level. I e]ven got a few good pictures, too.
They are all quite harmless, when they want to be; but, some are quite evil, and all of them can hurt you fatally, if they want.
They do not respect humans, generally, because humans are about as smart as a drunken monkey next to them.
In fact, when you stand in the presence of a demon, even before they say anything, you can just feel how stupid you are compared to them.
They're just that "big."
They are godless, by the way. They learn their tricks from the devil himself. If it can't be done through fear and violence, then it shouldn't be done at all, seems to be their motto.
When they interact with you, they are mocking you. They almost can't keep the grin off their faces when they talk to you, because it's like talking to a talking parrot to them. It feels silly to them to talk to things so stupid as us.
So, that's about it, I guess.
I can't seem to get them to answer my question as to why they first attacked when I was 5 years old. So, I can't really answer "why" they attack me now, either. All I can do is give you whatever reason makes the most sense right now, in the present situation; but, to answer any questions as to how it all started, only they can answer that, and, so far, they have refused.
If you read your Bible, you'll see that I'm not worried about my faith, and whether the presence of demons in my life means I'm not doing the righteous thing. The Bible will tell you in several places that the Devil goes after good people in order to take them away from God; he doesn't bother so much with the bad people, because they are already apart from God.
So, if I'm being attacked by demons, and a judgment call can be made from that as to whether I'm good or bad, then the Bible says I'm good if I have demons, because the Devil wouldn't care if I were already bad. His work would be done.
But, as it is, I'm heaven-bound, so the Devil is having to put a lot of extra demons in my life to try and change that.
That's really how it works.
Do you think the Devil sends demons to people to try and make them good? Of course not. He only means to make people feel that God does not love them.
But, I know better, so I bravely face demons everyday, knowing that my God will never leave me nor forsake me. Here's specifically what makes me strong in the face of evil:
If God be for me, who can be against me? [Roman 8:31]
If God is on my side, who shall I fear? [Psalm 118:6]
Fear not, for I am with you. [Isaiah 41:10]
I will never leave you nor forsake you. [Hebrews 13:5]
Lo, I will be with you always—even unto the ends of the earth. [Matthew 28:20]
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. [Philippians 4:13]
I guess you could say that I'm standing on the promises of God in this matter, as stated so well in the gospel hymn of the same name. The lyrics, to-wit:

In God's plan for Voices Demons spelled out in Bible, the egregious and evil acts committed by the Voices Demons were found to be described exactly in the Bible, as were the consequences to said demons for committing them.

To start, let's look at why demonic possession is an affront to God:
  1. God considers our bodies as His belongings. As was pointed out in Blanket demons possess bedsheets, humans possess clay, our bodies belong to God, not us. To-wit, 1 Corinthians 6:19 says:
Don't you know that your body is a temple that belongs to the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit, whom you received from God, lives in you. You don't belong to yourselves. [GOD'S WORD® Translation (©1995)]
  1. God considers His belongings holy. Leviticus 27: 9, 30 teaches us that when a thing belongs to God, it is holy.
  1. God does not tolerate misuse of His belongings. The Bible teaches us that God is extremely protective of that which is His, to put it mildly. In fact, He has killed those who have touched His property, even men who were otherwise devout and loyal to Him.
In II Samuel 6:6-7, Uzzah, an old man and high priest, was killed for simply keeping the Ark of the Covenant—which God explicitly said not to touch, as it was considered His property and was, therefore, holy—from falling from a cart it was being carried on. To-wit: 
And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it. And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah, and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God. [Online Parallel Bible] 
The ark was symbolic of principles sacred to God, and what it sacred to God must be treated exactly according to His instructions. Where the Holy Spirit dwells—your body—is sacred to Him, and possession by spirits and demons is a violation of that sanctity.
If all of the scripture above suggests to you that the Ark of the Covenant and your body are analogous, ponder this: how much more importance and value on your body does God place over the Ark of the Covenant?
I'd say if he killed a man for touching the Ark—which is just a thing next to a life such as your own—then demons and men who collaborate with them are in trouble; and, the Bible agrees with me. In Proverbs 20:25a, it says:
It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy.
That is to say, taking something that is the Lord’s and consuming it for your own pleasure is a sin.

Sucker demons—those 1- to 3-inch long, worm-like demonic entities that can become invisible, pass through walls, tow a trailer behind your car, electrocute you to death, and burn a hole through steel—fly like some fish swim.

That is to say that, to fly, they use two types of locomotion that are analogous to two types of aquatic locomotion, namely, Body-Caudal Fin (BCF) Propulsion and—believe it or not—Jet Propulsion.

 According to Wikipedia, there are three classes of fish that move via BCF propulsion. The class that best fits a sucker demon is the Aguilliform class, and is most likely employed when navigating through blood, mucus, urine, or any other body fluid, as well as any liquids outside the body (sucker demons are notorious for clogging toilets on purpose, so they spend at least some time in water pipes and drains).
Anguilliform swimmers are typically slow swimmers. They undulate the majority of their body and use their head as the fulcrum for the load they are moving. At any point during their undulation, their body has an amplitude between 0.5-1.0 wavelengths. The amplitude that they move their body through allows them to swim backwards. Because this form of locomotion would not be enough to fly through the air for sucker demon—even with their uncanny strength and stamina—sucker demons use a form of marine locomotion called jet propulsion to move through the air.
Jet propulsion is a method of aquatic locomotion where animals fill a muscular cavity and squirt out water to propel them in the opposite direction of the squirting water. Most organisms are equipped with one of two designs for jet propulsion; they can draw water from the rear and expel it from the rear, such as jellyfish, or draw water from front and expel it from the rear, such as salps. Filling up the cavity causes an increase in both the mass and drag of the animal. Because of the expanse of the contracting cavity, the animal’s velocity fluctuates as it moves through the water, accelerating while expelling water and decelerating while vacuuming water. Even though these fluctuations in drag and mass can be ignored if the frequency of the jet-propulsion cycles is high enough, jet-propulsion is a relatively inefficient method of aquatic locomotion.
Hydrozoan medusae, which use a one-way water cavity design, generate a phase of continuous cycles of jet-propulsion followed by a phase of rest. The Froude efficiency is measured to be at 0.09, which shows a very costly method of locomotion. The metabolic cost of transport for the medusa is high when compared to a fish of equal mass. Other jet-propelled animals have similar problems in efficiency. Scallops, which use a similar design, swim by quickly opening and closing their shells, which draws in water and expels it from all sides. This locomotion is used as a means to escape predators such as starfish. Afterwards, the shell acts as a hydrofoil to counteract the scallop’s tendency to sink. The Froude efficiency is low for this type of movement, about 0.3, hence why it’s used as an emergency escape mechanism from predators. However, the amount of work the scallop has to do is mitigated by the elastic hinge that connects the two shells of the bivalve. Squids swim by drawing and expelling water through their siphon and into their mantle cavity. The Froude efficiency of their jet-propulsion system is around 0.29, which is much lower than a fish of the same mass. Squid swim more slowly than fish, but use more power to generate their speed. All of the videos seem to show that, even with two forms of locomotion available to it, the sucker demon's flying range is quite limited, hence the frequent and ubiquitous use of wormholes (and, yes, that's how wormholes got their name).
