Top 10 most read posts indicate readers' awareness of problem, danger

The topics of most interest to readers pretty much follows expectations of an Internet audience; in order of most-to-least interest, they are:

  1. Technology
  2. Sex
  3. Crime
  4. Drugs
  5. Death (or injury)

Not that the goal is to be interesting; but, it is important to know everything you can about your audience when education and awareness is the goal.

Part of this data was acquired by determining which posts were the most read. The list, when limited to the top 10, looks like this:

Generally, one can conclude that, aside from the interest most Internet users would have in technology and, well, sex, most readers are interested in what the cause of the problem might be (could it be that the person deserves it or did something to bring it upon themselves?). Beyond that, it would appear that they are concerned about the type of danger this situation might pose, and then where the danger is located. Finally, the concerned reader wants to know what the danger looks like (or who it is coming from). The interest in the Bible indicates that a solution is desired to a problem the reader feels is otherwise insurmountable.
